Here is a list of eight female celebrities who have admitted to the public/press/paparazzi/etc. that they love porn, watch sex videos, and probably would consider staring in an adult video or two. Maybe I just made that last part up, but hey, you never know, right? Just because someone watches porn doesn’t mean they want to star in it, I know, I know. Okay, so here’s the list.

1. Cameron Diaz

She admitted on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she likes to watch porn in hotel rooms.

2. Taylor Momsen

She has been quoted as saying, “If it’s a good sex tape, I’ll watch it. I like some adult stars … I have a couple favorites. But I will say this: That Tommy Lee-Pamela Anderson video wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t fuck Tommy Lee.”

3. Aubrey O’Day

Okay, so this shouldn’t come as such a shock. “I love porn. I’m more turned on watching the girls than the guys … I’ve had sex on camera with my boyfriend for fun … I’ve made all of them delete it just after we’ve watched it,” says O’Day.

4. Dita Von Teese

Also, not a big shock. “You can find something for everyone on the Internet … As long as no one’s hurting anyone or involving children, then hey, what’s wrong with that? People love watching people having sex. I’m no different,” she claimed. She has a point.

Some addictions can be portrayed on television as humorous and entertaining. Alcoholism has its ha-ha moments, and stoner comedies always prove to be hilarious. On the other hand, you never really see a heroin-addict comedy, or crystal meth addiction prove to be hilarious. Then there is the addiction to sex that makes for excellent television as portrayed by Hank Moody (David Duchovny) on the hit TV series Californication. Moody lives a life of having constant free sex, and lots of it. Even though it causes more and more problems for his family throughout the course of the series, he can’t break the habit. His life slowly turns into one big adult video.

But is this addiction funny or sad? Would you have any problem being a sex addict? On one hand it means you get to have constant sex all of the time. On the other hand you start to disregard everything in your life in order to get sex all of the time. That can’t possibly be a good thing. Many medical establishments can’t even properly define and determine what sex addiction really is, or if they can even properly label it an “addiction”. Just the idea that you can be addicted to sex is a very recent theory.

Simultaneously while shooting for the show, Duchovny was battling his own for of sex addiction. He voluntarily entered a rehab facility for treatment of this addiction while filming his hit TV series Californication. Did Duchovny bring his character home with him? Its most likely he brought his addiction to work. Psychoanalyst Bethany Marshall says, “Sex addiction is a serious problem. Adult circumstances don’t turn you into a sex addict. It’s factors from childhood.”

It seems as if this addiction isn’t as fun as it portrayed on television. What are the odds that the producers of the show would cast an actor who is a sex-addict to play a sex-addict. Did they know? How odd.
