Other Jungles
On the dating scene there are a lot of people who are fascinated with people of other races and ethnicities. Western men love Asian girls, assuming all manner of exotic natures and subservient stereotypes to their actions, or Russian brides are sought after, as much as Euro-trash boys for gay men looking for something different then what they are used to. There is something supposedly more sexual and therefore would have to be more satisfying being with someone who doesn’t know our mores, let alone our language. It is a forbidden fruit mystique of the other, but usually the allure is something that is more fantasy then reality.

The difference between cultures or races need be no more real than they are imagined, still for some, the idea of the difference is enough to thrill. There are countless websites built around the idea of cross-race coupling and more than one porn movie featuring the idea.
A guy or girl of certain race doesn’t know how to bring their partner to orgasm any easier or more powerfully than those of one’s own race. But the fever we have for the unusual is enough to fuel us. People who court these fevers-mostly predicated on skin color-can be very intelligent and versed in a lot of life yet still fail to realize that just the race alone makes no difference in a person’s ability to please or satisfy. It is something that can easily slip past a person’s common sense if one wishes it to and they will even swear by it that such and such group of people are more sexually adept then others. There is a certain level of insecurity at play here of course, a certain dissatisfaction with life when one is looking outside one’s own experience to experience a fantasy and not a person and a very sad pursuit chasing ethnicities because of a sexual stereotype.
In a very real way this is a form of racism.
But we can’t as much ignore our fetishes and our fantasies as much as we can’t alter our sexual preferences. What we assume to be real might as well be real until we are proved otherwise and in most cases we will ignore the proof if it runs counter to what we want to believe; especially if it fells our sexual need.
